January 29th 2014: AUTHOR'S IN OUR COMMUNITY— West Vancouver Memorial Library
THANK YOU everyone for making my BOOK TALK a success on Wednesday. It was a great turn-out. The West Vancouver Memorial Library events planner was very pleased. I truly enjoy doing this and I am hoping (planning!) on many more opportunities to hone my skill. |
January 1st 2014: WEBSITE LAUNCH
At last! After years of imagining, hoping and trying to set up a blog and website that would present what I wish to offer to the world, the day is finally here! I am pleased, excited and mighty proud I must admit because I learned how to and designed the whole thing myself. Hurrah for independance! |
May 8th, 2013: AN EVENING WITH ANNIE PAQUETTE | North Vancouver Public Library
"So I had my Author’s Talk last week in North Vancouver. A 1-hour presentation and ½ hour question period. Wow. And it came with a great gift. For weeks prior to the event, I was fretting about it and postponing working on what I was going to say. Eventually, I had no choice but to get to it. For a few days I prepared my talk but was feeling quite uneasy about it. Something was not right. The day before the talk, I put the finger on what was wrong: I was trying to make myself sound like someone other than myself because I thought that’s what people wanted to hear. I trashed all my notes and started all over. My talk was as easy as a conversation and the group and I really connected. Great lesson learned." |
March 13th, 2013: DRISHTI POINT RADIO INTERVIEW | Vancouver, BC
"Madhuri (madhuriayurvedayoga.com), the host, was gracious and quickly put me at ease. The hour flew by. It was a beautiful way to begin this new chapter of my life. Thank you to Farah Nazarali of Drishti Point (drishtipoint.ca) who produces podcasts featuring interviews and teachings about mind, body, consciousness and soul." |
August 29th, 2012: BOOK LAUNCH
The book launch took place at Delany's Coffee House in West Vancouver, BC. After 11 months of seclusion, it was a serious thrill not only to be out, but most of all, to realize I was officially an author! As the first person to extend a concrete gesture of kindness and faith in sending my book off into the world, I wish to thank Mr. Robin Delany for his receptivity and support. * Adventures in Mindfulness had a whole different look back then! |
